Narrative for New England Baptist Hospital

At New England Baptist Hospital we embrace the transparency PatientCareLink offers the public. We use this site to continuously improve the delivery of exceptional patient care.

We did have variances in our hours per patient day over the past year in the ICU and on Lahey 5. In the ICU our hours were over budget due to variability in patient census. Mid-year we converted Lahey 5 to a five day per week unit to create more efficiency. This alteration skewed our budget as we reported a plan to operate a seven day unit. Programmatically, the change has been successful and positively received by patients and staff. We are planning to continue with this model at this point in time.
