As a part of our commitment to PatientCareLink and a progressive approach to improving quality and safety for our patients, we welcome the opportunity to display our “nursing sensitive” measures. We plan to use these results to improve our care over time. With opportunity to share data we identified that our fall rate although average for the patient population we did not observe a positive change over time. Our Fall Committee revamped the manner inwhich fals were reviewed and found that communication of fall risk and intervention could improve. we have seen a dramatic drop in the number falls from a tending rate of 4.8 in 2011 to a current trending rate of 3.2. The opportunity offered by Patient First to share data and compare successes is the underpinning to improved outcomes.
