Additional Comments
The unit admits stable, premature babies along with non-critical newborns requiring more intense nursing care. It is located next to the newborn nursery and the staffing is managed together for efficiency. A minimum staffing level is maintained in Level 2 despite fluctuations in census which overstates staffing hours at times.
