Additional Unit Information:
The CCU is an 8 bed intensive care unit focused on the care of acute medical cardiac conditions. We frequently take care of patients with heart attacks, congestive heart failure and arrythmias.
 
 
Other Team Members:
Nurse management has 24 hour responsibility for the unit. Other supportive staff available for unit as needed include: Interpreter Services, Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist, Geriatric Clinical Nurse Specialist and Certified Wound Care Nurses. There are 3.38 FTEs of centralized ICU float nurses which are deployed as needed to support patient acuity. There are 23 FTEs of centrally based patient care staff who are available to observe and protect patients at elevated safety risk (i.e. at risk for pulling out lines/tubes or at risk for harming themselves or others).
