Unit Information: |
| Cooley Dickinson Emergency Department is a 22 bed emergency department that sees 30,000-40,000 visits per year. Included in the 22 bed department is ,"Fast Track", for less acute patients. CDH ED services primarily Hampshire County, but is seeing patients from neighboring Hampden and Franklin counties. The department sees a higher number of ambulance patients compared to walk-in patients, however we are not a tauma designated hospital. Approximately 64% of hospital admissions enter through this department and 84% of Critical Care pateints are admitted thorugh the ED. |
