Additional Unit Information: |
This unit pt. population consists of both stroke and parkinson. The hands on care needs, transfer status and medication administration regimines for parkinson patients frequently drive the staffing and hours of care. |

1 Nursing Supervisor = eve and nightsX 7days
Nursing education is provided by one nurse educator with support from Nursing leadership. The educational plan is defined by identified issues via monitoring and staff survey. Nursing leadership on all 3 shifts supports the educational process as well as outside speakers.
Periodically through out the year nursing students have a month rotation providing care on a 1:1 basis but the responsibility remains with the hospital staff and the impact on staff plan is minimal. |
