Additional Unit Information: |
RNs - mostly 12 hour shifts and also Baylor on weekends
IV therapy 12 hours per day
Nursing education provided by centralized department, and
is not unit-based.
Rapid response team in development
Budgeted staffing based on average acuity/work assignment.
Shifts in acuity/workload influence staffing.
Nurse manager has 24 hour responsibility for 6N, IV Team
and float pool.
Increased staffing required for precepting, orientation and
best practice education.
