Additional Unit Information: |
Nurse manager has 24 hour responsibility for LDRP,
Birthing Center and Pedi. Minimally staffed unit.
RNs work some 12 hour shifts
IV therapy 12 hours per day
Union rep allotted 12 hours per week from productive time
for union meetings.
Nursing education provided by centralized department, and
is not unit-based.
Precepting, orientation and competency education require
additional staffing
Staffing based on average acuity & workload, but shifts in
acuity and workload influence staffing
