Unit Information: |
LPNs cover fast track which is open from 9am-11pm Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) cover as 1:1 observers There are 2 UAPs until 1:00am then the night UAP is also the night secretary UAPs perform EKGs, caths, Blood Glucoses, and place patients on cardiac monitors UAPs perform vital signs, assist with pelvic exams and restraint applications Interpretation services available by phone 7000 visits by ambulance and 40% of ambulance are admitted 60-70% of hospital admissions come through the ED ED UAPs also serve as patient greeters ED Case Management available 9am-5pm Monday - Friday DPH Designated Primary Stroke Service. |
