Other Reasons for +/- 5% Variance
In the summer of 2008 began a trial on this unit of hourly rounding on all patients by both UAP's and RN's. The hospital is committed to patient satisfaction and patient safety and this approach to patient care was identified as a way to help improve the total care of the patient. Improvement was noted almost immediately through our patient satisfaction tool where we gather data from a random selection of patients. Plan to roll this approach out to all the nursing units at the hospital.
