SK4 which is the neurological unit had an increase in the number of patients requiring 1:1 sitters due to safety reasons. The Nurse Manager adjusts her staffing plans twice a day due to census, admissions and the clinical patient care needs. There were some staff vacancies due to medical and family leaves that also impacted staff availability. Per diem coverage was utilized as needed to assure the delivery of safe patient care.
