The opening of the Dana Farber Cancer Center at Milford Regional Medical Center resulted in an increased census of higher acuity oncology patients. Planned worked hours per patient day did not include 2.1 FTE of float pool staff budgeted to provide additional staff in the event of high census, increased acuity and individual patient need for constant observation.
