Other Team Members: |
Brain Injury Unit has Patient Safety monitors who have received training on interfacing with patients who have behavor issues. Their training includes accurate observations, ability to communicate with cognitively impaired patients as well as documentation necessary to be utilized in behavior teams 3 times per week. Behavior teams are held on the unit lead by a neuropsychologist and attended by OT, PT, Speech and Nursing. Safety interventions are discussed, safety plan of care adjusted, and continuationof close observation (1:1). The "Other" care giver category has been identified as part of our staffing plan. to be clear those staff would onnly be utilized if there was a safety situation requiring the higher number of staff. |
