| Additional Unit Information: |
| Jordan 4 is a twenty bed unit with 12 telemetry monitored beds that provide cardiac monitoring and close observation for patients with a range of cardiac disturbances. Patients on this unit have a wide array of medical /surgical illnesses. Areas of focus include cardiology, hematology, nephrology, gerontology and post operative cardiac arrthymias. Budgeted census is an average . Daily staffing is reviewed and adjusted each shift for volume and acuity. RN Clinical level and experience is considered in scheduling and assignments. |

| Nurse Manager has 24 hour accountability. Clinical Leader Mon-Fri. This individual participates in some patient care but is not counted in direct care hours. Centralized Pharmacy but this unit has a Clinical Pharmacist on the unit during the day, Mon-Fri.Residents for orthopedic patients. Physical Therapy provides two visits per day for orthopedic patients. AT&T Line available 24 hours a day for interpreting needs. There is also a contract for personal interpreters when needed.
There is a central RN bed placement coordinator during the day, Mon-Fri. Nursing coordinators facilitate bed placement on off shifts and weekends. |
