Other Team Members: |
The ICU is a nine bed unit that provides both intensive monitoring and treatment. The prime focus is for crtically ill medical/surgical patients. Additionally, they provide close observation for high risk post operative patients. Budgeted census is an average. Daily staffing varies to meet anticipated census fluctuations. Staffing is adjusted for volume and acuity each shift. RN Clinical Level and experience is considered in scheduling and assignments. Minimum 2 RNs plus Rapid Response RN each shift.
An ICU RN responds to all emergent patient care issues in the hospital. |
