Additional Unit Information:
Ventilators. Transfers in (eg crash/code/condition deterioration). Ambulatory/Inpatient cardioversion. Post anesthesia care unit after hours, weekends and holidays. IV conscious sedation. Telemetry monitoring (multiparameter) for 2N/3N and Pediatrics. Advanced Cardiac Life Support for emergencies. Stroke Team Member. EKG after hours; Outpatient department Dobutamine/Cardiolyte Stress test. Nurse Manager also responsible for Level III Emergency Care Center & SEF. Staffing is adjusted to the intensity of patient care required - 3rd nurse will float to ER when needed. Preceptors EMT I & P, student nurses. Rapid Response Team. Critical Care resource for all areas.
 
 
Other Team Members:
Interpreter services available 24/7. Clinical Coordinator on duty 24/7. Clerical support 7h/day Monday through Friday. Core staffing changed to 3 RN's per day per shift as of 7/2009.
