| RNs - most 12 hour shifts;12 Baylor shifts on weekends. IV therapy 12 hours per day. Nurse manager has 24 hour responsibility. Nursing education provided by centralized department, and is not unit-based. Clinical leader takes patient assignments. Staffing based on average acuity & workload, but shifts in acuity & workload influence staffing. Precepting, orientation and competency best practice education requires additional staffing. Interpreters are available all shifts. Off-Shift Manager (Supervisor) available Mon-Fri Eves and Nights and all weekend . |
