Unit Information: |
23 bays with 19 telemetry capacity.
Fastrack hours of operation 11am-11pm.
MD in triage for earlier patient access to MD's 1pm-9pm.
Dedicated RN in triage 9am-11pm.
Unlicensed assistive personnel perform EKG, phlebotomy, ortho splinting and inpatient transport.
One secure holding room (to increase to two secure holding rooms in 2010).
Admission rate is 28%.
Hospital has an independent Walk-in Center for patients with less acute illnesses, thus increasing the case mix of the ED patients. |
