Other Reasons for +/- 5% Variance
The 2nd floor has moved from a patient type mix of acute and chronic ventilator patients to all acute respiratory and ventilated patients. With this patient mix the acuity of the patients as well as their needs has increased. We have made changes this year to accommodated this acuity to our staffing and it's resources. The unit has also seen an increase in the 1:1 patients as well.
