Other Reasons for +/- 5% Variance
This is a small unit within an hospital with a highly fluctuating census causing some disparity between numbers of patient at any given time. In preparation for admission numbers that will raise the census by 25% there are times that the staffing may go over the predicted care hour. We have outstaanding patient and physician satisfaction however.
