Other Reasons for +/- 5% Variance
The brain injury population inherently brings high risk safety and care concerns requiring adjustments to staffing patterns. It is not unusual that a patient may have had surgical procedures that have included removal of skull bone and the necessity for tracheostomy. These issues along with behavior challenges would require more care and attention.
