Other Reasons for +/- 5% Variance
SHC utilizes the Quadramed acuity system to assess the changing nursing workload required by our inpatient population. 4 SOUTH has experienced and increase in spinal cord , complex wound and telemetry patients requiring an adjustment to the staffing grids. 4 SOUTH has also had an increase in the number of patients requiring 1:1 observation to maintain a safe environment. Due to the increase in CNA vacancies the orientation hours were above budget this year.
