Additional Comments
NEBH's staffing plan is built to match our elective surgical schedule with peak census days Tuesday through Friday and routine closure of 1 - 2 nursing unit(s) on the weekends. This census fluctuation, combined with reduced census due to length of stay (LOS) improvements and increases in staff hours to facilitate admissions and discharges, resulted in increased Hours of Care Per Patient Day (HPPD). Jenks 4 East staffing includes a Clinical Resource Nurse for response to urgent patient care needs within the inpatient units and observation patients.
