ICU Staffing Law requires an RN to patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 (therefore our Minimal staffing in the ICU is 3 RNs/PCA which includes a charge nurse out of assignment* each shift)
*ICU Charge Nurse serves as Code Nurse so does not take an assignment
