| Additional Unit Information: |
| SCN staff are all assigned a full patient assignment in SCN |
| and also provide triage services to the regular nurseries: |
| sepsis risk evaluations, IV starts/meds, etc. SCN staff also |
| attend high and emergent births in Labor and Delivery with |
| budgeted annual births of 3,200. A newly created Maternal |
| Fetal medicine service at NWH has also impacted the SCN |
| with an increase in the number of multiple births and census |
| since budgeted projections for 2005 were made. SCN does |
| not have charge nurse per shift. |
