| Additional Unit Information: |
| Unit is a combined med/surg adult and pediatric unit. |
| Primarily, but not limited to surgical & orthopedic. |
| Census produced in part by seasonal variation when unit |
| is at peak - 37 patients. Must flex up staff at this time. |
| Hospitalist is on site Monday - Friday until 7 pm. |
| 1:1 patient observer is utilized as indicated. |
| Nursing students are on the unit varied days & evenings |
| during the school year. |
| Unit Manager is an RN with 24 hours per day accountability. |
| Centralized staff educator and pharmacist. |
| Rapid Response Team beginning February 2006. |
| Patient Transport Team until 9pm. |
