Additional Unit Information:
This is a combined adult med/surg/cardiac ICU that accepts
very critically ill patients. Does not accept Continuous
Arterio-Venous Hemofiltration, Continuous Veno-Venous
Hemofiltration, or status post complex intracranial surgeries
requiring Intracranial Pressure monitoring. Intensivists are
on site until early evening and available 24 hours.
Unit manager is an RN who has 24 hours per day
accountability.
1:1 patient observers are utilized only when indicated.
Clinical Pharmacist on unit 2 hours daily Monday - Friday.
Rapid Response Team beginning February 2006.
Patient Transport Team until 9pm.
