| Additional Unit Information: |
| This is a combined adult med/surg/cardiac ICU that accepts |
| very critically ill patients. Does not accept Continuous |
| Arterio-Venous Hemofiltration, Continuous Veno-Venous |
| Hemofiltration, or status post complex intracranial surgeries |
| requiring Intracranial Pressure monitoring. Intensivists are |
| on site until early evening and available 24 hours. |
| Unit manager is an RN who has 24 hours per day |
| accountability. |
| 1:1 patient observers are utilized only when indicated. |
| Clinical Pharmacist on unit 2 hours daily Monday - Friday. |
| Rapid Response Team beginning February 2006. |
| Patient Transport Team until 9pm. |
