Other Reasons for +/- 5% Variance
Additional Nursing staffing is provided to cover patient care assignment when preceptors are assigned exclusively to new staff on orientation - increasing staffing numbers. New staff required to accommodate updated increased average daily census for newly expanded renovated unit. Once the beds were reopened, patient budgeted census increased during the end of FY06, requiring additional staff.
